Overview
Molo Lungo is a competition proposal for a bench designed for the seaside promenade in Rijeka, Croatia. The project is conceived as an element of public space that encourages resting and staying along the waterfront.
The form of the bench is derived from the silhouette of a seagull at rest. The bench is designed in local stone, in relation to the character of the coastal environment.
Its modular configuration allows the layout to change and adapt to the specific needs of different parts of the promenade.
