How to refresh the workspace, introduce new ideas and innovations, while preserving its authentic spirit?


This is our fourth collaboration with Nordeus. After six years, they felt the need to explore how their workspace could evolve through the idea of an annexed satellite office. As life and work habits change faster than ever, workspaces must respond both to current ways of working and to future needs. The goal was to create an environment that supports teams today, while remaining flexible and adaptable for tomorrow.

ReDA Workshop

We ran a full-day Research and Design (ReDA) workshop to understand employees’ needs. Key insights from the day became the core of the project.

Inspiration came from jungle, garage, games, and home, translated into adventure, humor, warmth, agility, and onsite/offsite dynamics. Workdays are not linear, but happen in waves of focus, meetings, and spontaneity – a rhythm the space follows.

Concept

The design balances work and home, familiar and new, open and personal. It is intuitive and adaptable, letting users shape it to their needs.

Materials mix natural textures with technical details, linking past and future. Acoustics and sound privacy are key, while magnetic walls allow personalization.

At the center of the space stands a cobalt-blue steel structure, multifunctional and playful, evoking the feeling of a treehouse or nest. It supports work, breaks, and exploration, features a swing for movement and interaction, and cleverly stores furniture not in use, keeping the space flexible and organized.

Layout & Modularity

The office has three noise zones: quiet, medium, and noisy, flowing naturally for smooth movement.

The layout is modular and flexible, adapting to different teams and work modes. The space follows users’ rhythms, supporting focus, interaction, and spontaneity.

Wayfinding & Signage Design

In collaboration with graphic designer Milan Dragic, the Wayfinding & Signage design was developed as an integral part of the interior concept.
